Thanks, got it fixed.

I am not having CPU spiking with it....

Hi,

What computers are you using? i thought i was well behind with my 2008 harpertown 8 core but its working fairly well, considering i also have some big CPU hogs in my mastering template. reducing the limiter bands lowers the CPU so even at 10 bands it gives you plenty of versatility.

I have purchsed it, but havent explored any further yet, but im sure this is gonna be a valuable tool.

I have no issues using this as a mastering tool in a mastering session. It's when I bring it into a very large mix session with VIs that spiking occurs.

All of the metering is OpenGL. So the video card (or lack thereof if its integrated) will affect performance / CPU use / spiking of this plugin.

"The adaptive limiter analyzes 26 frequency bands and alters the gain, speed and transients for each band in real time. "

This has alarm bells ringing all over it.
Who in their right mind wants the mix broken into 26 phase bands and then have an algorithm adjust all the hard and precise work that has gone into moulding the transients and slew of all areas of the mix.

This is just a home version of LANDR.

It's just *****ING BONKERS

They give the "scientific" reasoning behind the 26 bands. You can also change the amount of bands you want between 1-26 and then a blend control of how strict you want the processing to be within the bands.

I don't want to dismiss it out of hand, but like you I'm skeptical. Algorithmically, it does (at least on the surface) seem to be similar to LANDR and a couple of other auto-mastering services. I haven't heard it, but I'll need to be convinced of its value.

This is a tough category. There are so many great limiters on the market today. I wonder how it compares to your favorites...?
