Default DAE Error 11002???!!!

Just installed PT 5.0. Running on B&W 450 Mhz G3 and Mix PLus. Sessions will gink while playing, continue to play the single sound it stopped on, will say Difficulty finding Audio I/O. I hit ok in prompt box, Session plays 2 beats, hangs like before, DAE 11002 error message appears, suggests saving and restart. I've checked cables, tossed and re-set preferences, pared down my automation. Still the same. Oh, yeah, Mac still hangs on the Digi Init about every 5th time on a boot.

I can't find anything on that error message number but I would try this...

Make sure the sound control panel, sound in and sound out, is not set to "Digi" and that there are not any other applications trying to access the audio hardware at the sametime as Pro Tools.

If you can, write down the error message exactly and let me know what it is. I'll see what else I can dig up.

Well, I have run into the same problem with it hanging up on start-up. I called tech support and they told me that is one of those things that happen out of every 5-10 times on start. Of course!! It figures!! Hmm about your DAE error not sure and have not had that happen to me. One queston, did you use hard disk tool kit drives for your drives. I have had PT with errors when i first got it and forgot to load the Hard Disk Tool Kit drives to my record drives.
You might want to check that out.

I'm sorry but I don't understand. Are you talking about formatting drives with HDT?
