Old Pro Tools 10 Student Purchase Help

Hi. I'm a student Media Composer user wanting to adopt Pro Tools into my workflow. I recently found someone who had purchased Pro Tools 10 Student Edition last year but she has not opened or used it. If I buy her Pro Tools 10, would I be able to register, use it, and also be eligible for the 4year discount program for updates?

As far as I know you can NOT buy student licenses nor NFR licenses ßecondhand even if they are not used. When it comes to student licenses it ain't that easy o just register and get free copies for 4 yrs. Also you have to prove a lot if stuff in order to register so better you buy your own if you are a student or a second hand PT10 or 11 from here on the buy and sell or ebay or the Avid store.
