Default ProTools 11 - how to install Plug-ins into Windows 8

Hello Avid community,

I recently bought a ProTools 11 student version and because the PhaseScope plugin is missing (as noted in another thread), I was wondering how I would go about installing a Plug-In, namely Blue Cat's DP Meter, for a Windows ProTools 11?

Just run the plugin installer and you are good to go.

I wanted to try the demo version, but it didn't came with a "plugin installer".
I ran a type of installer and it "installed" a bunch of free AAX into a folder called, "Plug-Ins" under C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins. I opened ProTools, but none of them showed up...

Where should I move them into?

The bluecat plugins works great in PT 11 here and you shouldn't have to move them anywhere if you installed the correct versions. You need the AAX64 bit Win version of the free Blue Cat bundle. If you go to the BlueCat website then download the correct version of the bundle. You find it here:

http://www.bluecataudio.com/Download/Products/

and they are NOT to be moved anywhere and if you download the wrong format they won't show up.

IT should be this link here : http://www.bluecataudio.com//Vault/P...X-x64Setup.exe

Best
Chris

Oh!
Thank you very much. I understand what the difference was now.
Before I had the files as individual files and not in folders.

Got it.
Thank you!
