Pro Tools 12.7.1 Assertion error line 1104 - importing aaf
I'm receiving an error when importing an AAF (embedded, consolidated with handles) made in Pro Tools Ultimate, into Pro Tools v.12.7.1.
Could not complete your request because Assertion in "..\ ..\ FF\ Audio\ FF_AudioFile.cpp", line 1104. I'm also receiving the same error when importing an AAF (embedded, consolidated with handles) made in Media Composer v. 2018.11 in to Pro Tools v.12.7.1. The fix to the aaf error comes in Pro Tools Ultimate. As I no longer have an upgrade plan and I remain using Pro Tools 12.7.1, what are my options to get around this problem? Will there ever be a fix to v.12.7.1 that makes aafs created with Media Composer v.2018.11 or Pro Tools Ultimate, compatible? There is a thread referring to this problem. https://community.avid.com/forums/t/186230.aspx (There are also 'cases' created by Avid moderators in the thread.) I am hoping an Avid Moderator can advise. Cheers Jon PS - this is my first post on DUC, hope I have all required info in post. I have a Sandra report if required.
