newbie question: why once i bounce does it sounds so muddy?
I have a digi001. Recordings sound FANTASTIC in the headphones of the unit. I bounce it to a 16 bit wav file (the original recording is at 16 bits too) and played though the same headphones hooked into my computer everything sounds muddled.
So this is just the concept of mastering? There is no easy way to make it sound exactly like what i am hearing within protools? Is there an easy fix? |

Re: newbie question: why once i bounce does it sounds so muddy?
I would guess its the headphones output of your computer. It much lower quality than the 001. Why dont you let all your mac sounds go through the 001? This is done with the Digidesign control panel.
There should be no difference between what you hear when playing the PT document and the bounced file.
