Default buying first plugins-any suggestions

OK, i have under a thousand to spend and the only plug ins i have is(the digirack),t-racks eq, celemony meladyne and voc A line.
I record r&b, rap and pop..
heres the two i am considering...
Waves gold bundle(20 plug ins) or Sony oxford le bundle(dynamics,eq,inflator)

i need the best plug ins I can get to start off with,,,,so im leaning more towards the waves since it has a lot more plug ins.....or is the sony a better sounding package even though there is only 3 plug ins

my setup - amd athlon 64 3200+ 2.2
asus k8v se mobo
2 g RAM

thanks ahead
josh

I get the most use out of the Rennaissance stuff. My fave EQs and comps. RVerb is great also.

I'd have to throw my vote in for Waves Gold Native. Invalueable tools, high quality, and many plugs to boot! After that, I'd consider the Elemental Audio plugs -- their Neodynium plug seems to be unique in the forest of dynamics processing plugs.

the elemental audio plug ins look sweet, not bad price either.....yes they do seem like they are on something completely different...on the firium it lets you select a spot and matches all the eq and gain to a punched in part....thats a cool feature.

Waves-
RTAS is included. The Gold Bundle has some extra effects plugins that you may not use much. Look at the Native Power Pack.
The PowerPack comes with the essentials that are in the Gold Bundle- EQ, Compression, Reverb, Delays, Imaging, Limiting. It is only 300 bux or so. Then you can spend on EQs.

elemental audio-
Firium and EQuim EQs.

URS-
for EQs

fxpansion VST2RTAS plugin wrapper
Lets you use VST plugins. Works well with most VSTs.

personnally, I would stay away from Waves
I have the Platinum Bundle, the Restoration Bundle, and the Musicians Bundle, but will be selling all three in the near future
They're WUP program is just too outrageous for me
