This takes Amp modeling to a whole new level, especially if there is a way to download "Profiles" from other people. You could get Any Amp you want, whenever you want!

No kidding. Just imagine if it really works as described. You could NAIL any tone you want. You want the exact tone of AC/DC, find their exact settings, rent the same model amp, and boom, done. And what would make it even more powerful is if they have the ability to Exchange Presets, someone could model a Diezel Herbert, upload the Profile, and the rest is self explanatory.

If no one has the exact amp and settings you want, you could rent the amp for a few hours, profile it, then take it back.

I believe its 1400 or 1500 us. There have been threads about it at the gear page. Seemed they had the ideal setup for it at namm capturing it through a speaker isolation box. Its a genius idea for sure. It's not just capturing the amp though, its capturing the Mic and everything else in the chain mics, etc. Seems to me best suited for FOH or FRFR or direct recording. Imagine capturing some great amps through some amazing preamps, that's just downright dangerous! It has built in effects and comes loaded with some pre captured amps too. Man, as soon as I get settled into something amazing like the ER they bring this out. Why can't I sleep until the tech/modeling war is over and then pick my poison?

I don't even care about live with that, it would be invaluable in the studio. Get great sounds in the room. Get ur Mic set. Record. Overdub next week without touching anything. WINNING! (Sorry listened to best of stern today and I got imprinted)

price is around $1600 ..... at least thats what the designer said in the last video posted. not sure if thats MSRP or streetprice.
