Audiosuite Plugins Greyed out

I feel like there should be a dumbed down version of all OS's going forward for pro users. All of the bells and whistles for the benefit of eye candy are fine for consumer/home users. For pro users, it seems to "F" everything up. Just my 2 cents.

Great idea. There should just be a preference for basic OS.

The problem with software that has been around for so long is the need to tinker and offer new features all the time.

I get this problem as well. No dark mode here and I am still on Catalina. In one session, I happened to have an AS plugin open when the main menu went greyed out, and just selecting another AS plugin from inside that plugin window instead of from the main top menu worked. So it’s not like AS stops working but you just can’t select the plugins in the usual menu.

+1 same issue. I did have both OS and PT dark modes enabled then restarted PT and it worked. All Audio Suite plugs working again. Cheers!

I had this issue with Monterey and PT 2022.7. It’s a known bug that’s currently being addressed. Downgrading to PT 2022.6 has resolved the issue for me.

This bug occurs when you change the sample rate of a new session, or open a session with a different sample rate. Quitting ProTools and relaunching it fixes it. until you change sample rates again.

Truly astonishing that bugs like this exist and MORE ASTONISHING that they can persist over several versions of the program.

This bug has been reported, but don't think it will be fixed even in the next version

Thanks Tim- got me through a minor panic there :)

Confirmed, Catalina with PT 2022.7.0, recent sample rate change; all Audiosuite plugins greyed / grayed out. Restart of PT resolved.
