Anyone know the difference in content between the download and the box?

Not known yet...Content is 100% the same but the thousands who have pre ordered the box version with information that Digi wouldn't have a download upgrade on day one are just hoping the PT8 Reference Manual is included in paper form in the box

I believe Digi said a few months ago no more hard copy Reference Manual PDF only, it won't even be available as a separate item. I'm bummed I like hard copy for making notes and find it easier to lookup things in.

Most likely you also checked the option to have the DVD sent to you. Double check your order details before proceeding.

Absolutely did not!
I accepted the charges on the belief it was for bandwidth, but is there anyway to be refunded this money?

And even if it had been for shipping, it says "Free ground shipping on all webstore orders of $100 or more" which this would've been.

Are you sure thats what the fee is about?

For those of us 'lucky' SOBs who are eligible for a free upgrade, we are currently sitting on our hands. Digi please put an end to this turmoil and contact us with the details. I've been watching friends download PT8 for over an hour now. You're killing me.
