Default Sound Toys Native Bundle?

Hey Guys,

Anyone out there using the Sound Toys Bundle. I downloaded the demo today and am very impressed by how musical their plugs sound, especially the Echo Boy. I am always concerned about how efficient anyone's plugs are, CPU wise. Ever since downloading the demo, my CPU usage has risen. I'm not even using any of their plugs in the current song, and still my CPU usage is higher. Any suggestions or warnings. I'm using a new iMac (2.16Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo) with 2 meg of RAM on PT 7.1LE!

Thanks for all that you do! Peace & good health!

They are more efficient as RTAS than TDM. Gotta love the sound, though Excellent plugs and great value! Now they have V3 out which means Universal Binaries.

Indeed... Could very well be my next plug-in purchase, especially now since they are AU as well.

I have used the plugs as both TDM and RTAS. The TDM incarnation is sonically superior, especially the echoboy which takes an entire chip on an Accel system. Even the RTAS counterpart isn't that efficient CPU-wise but I am sure you won't find any other similar plugins that sound that good. Things come at a price.

HI yes but you have to shell out another $49 per V3 licence if you bought them before 1 jan 2007.

how´s that for a change?

In my experience it all really depends on the patch you have loaded in the particular plug-in. I had demoed the universal binary demos and they rocked. I am buying them for sure. Nothing that I have hear native comes close to the way Echo Boy sounds. The only one that comes close is Echo Farm, and well yeah not buying an HD rig anytime soon.
