PSA: Use Cut instead of Delete when conforming
Maybe you all already do this, but I just had kind of a "Aha!" moment when I realized that I've been doing it wrong all these years.
Bottom line: if you have automation in your session, it's better to use Cut (X), instead of Delete in Shuffle mode when re-conforming to new picture changes. Deleting automation breakpoints can easily cause unexpected weirdness, like a long slow ramp up to the next or previous breakpoint.

Re: PSA: Use Cut instead of Delete when conforming
Great tip. I've definitely screwed up my automation in unexpected ways like this.
Does using cut create new breakpoints on the edges?

Re: PSA: Use Cut instead of Delete when conforming
Ref Guide, p.1018 :
"If the Cut command is chosen, anchor breakpoints are created at each end of the selection, and the automation slope on either side of the cut data is preserved,...." "If the data is deleted by pressing Backspace (Windows) or Delete (Mac), the automation data is removed, and automation values span the gap between pre-existing breakpoints ... ."

Re: PSA: Use Cut instead of Delete when conforming
Man this explains so much.
Seems like we should never use delete to remove clips.

Re: PSA: Use Cut instead of Delete when conforming
If the track view is set to waveform, it should not make a difference between X and Del, but X is safer.

Re: PSA: Use Cut instead of Delete when conforming
It really depends on where your breakpoints are located and where you make the edit, but I'd say it's generally safer to always use Cut instead of Delete whether conforming or just editing.
