Re: Bouncing in PT11 - Can't see exisiting files
i don't think you understand,
when you goto bounce in PT, and choose your bounce folder/location, you CANNOT see the files that you've already bounced in that SAME folder within protools you can only see them with explorer (outside protools) |

Re: Bouncing in PT11 - Can't see exisiting files
Works fine in Mac land (OSX 10.8.5) - I can see files I previously bounced in the session; might be a Windows thing. With PT11 I have my bounced files in the folder the session automatically creates.

Same here, also OSX 10.8.5, PT 11.2. It´s all in the folder "Bounced Files"

Re: Bouncing in PT11 - Can't see exisiting files
Must be a Windows problem then : I too cannot see previous bounces to disk while having the bounce-to-disk menu open.

Re: Bouncing in PT11 - Can't see exisiting files
Surely this must be a Windows Exploder bug, because OSX does not have this problem. Either way, PT calls the operating system to show the file handling window and it is not something PT does itself.

Re: Bouncing in PT11 - Can't see exisiting files
yes it's fine on a MAC
its a windows issue ONLY with PT11 i have PT10, and all is fine, i can see the files already there it was fine in protools 8 and 9 as well. So 8, 9, 10, all good It's a Protools 11 bug ONLY in windows environment !!! and i cannot believe Avid cannot or hasn't been able to fix this as it's very annoying having to open up explorer to see the files in there |

Re: Bouncing in PT11 - Can't see exisiting files
I don't do Windows but I'd say this looks very strange to me. On the OSX side of things, there is no difference...

Re: Bouncing in PT11 - Can't see exisiting files
Have u got 2 screens on yr system? If so u should be able to leave explorer open all the time on second screen! Least u would see what you have done previously?

Re: Bouncing in PT11 - Can't see exisiting files
of course i can put explorer on another screen,
but it's ridiculous that I'd have to go about with this "workaround" just to see my files. i think i'd much rather use my second screen for more useful stuff like the mixer or plug-ins it's crazy how PT11 has been out for quite some time now, i think over a year... and this "bug" is still present like i said PT 8, 9, & 10 were all ok, we could see our files inside the folders when bouncing. Avid, can you please comment ??? |
