Default How to Import Track Settings

Hello, I'm wondering if any of you know how to do this. I'm currently working on some old projects and just learned how to create templates in protools and create projects by starting out with a template, which got me thinking, saving settings of instruments and being able to transfer them from project to project would be incredibly useful to me. I have a bunch of projects that I have worked on in the past where I spent quite a while coming up with a good sound for a hi-hat/kick and in order to duplicate that sound, have always had to save plug in information and duplicate them by adding the plugins to a blank instrument track and setting the saved plugin settings so that the instruments are Identical. Is there a faster way to do this? Like could I save the settings of an instrument track with all the plugin information of that instrument track and then import it to an already existing session? Thanks again in advance.

Yeah that's the old way of doing it, but with Track Presets in PT 2018, things got a lot easier!
