Re: NEW UPDATED Room Calibration for Film and TV Post
Well I don't deviate from the levels that Dolby publishes, but I do question the meter placement in a small room. What I do is mount the meter on a mic stand so that it is located where my head would be, pointed towards C for the LCR. I've tried both pointing at the surrounds and pointing forward for the surrounds, there's not much difference maybe a db. Position for sub calibration doesn't really seem to matter, I tend to walk around the room and average it.

Re: NEW UPDATED Room Calibration for Film and TV Post
That's incredibly annoying, but thanks for sticking with it! In the meantime are there any resources you could recommend for setting up/calibrating a surround sound set up? Right now I'm going to use the 30˚ from center for L and R and 110˚ for the Ls and Rs.

Re: NEW UPDATED Room Calibration for Film and TV Post
Many of them aren't working but I found the ATSC website helpful. They didn't have any specifics diagrams recommending how far speakers should be placed from the listening position or at what angle. I believe Dolby recommends 30˚ from center for L and R and 110˚ for the Ls and Rs. Anyway, thanks for any help!
