Default /Library/Startupitems/Digidesign Mbox 2 has not been started

"/Library/Startupitems/Digidesign Mbox 2" has not been started because it does not have the proper security settings."

I've been trying trying to trouble shoot this problem for about a week now and I've tried everything short of reformatting my hard drive, which I'd rather NOT do!!! Has anyone found a solution. Avid has pretty much been closed for tech support all day!

I have a Mac Pro running 10.6.2 and the updates have been working fine. I'm only having a problem on my Macbook Pro 10.6.2.

I haven't been able to find any solutions to this problem that work for me. At this point, I'd be happy with a refund. What are my options?

I am so sad to advise that I have experienced the same problem of ""/Library/Startupitems/Digidesign Mbox 2" has not been started because it does not have the proper security settings."

I am even sad to advise that I have received no further advice what I shall do except keep telling me for reinstallation, which I have done thousand of time already.

Getting the same messager for 20 days now. I've tried to change prefs on folders but no luck at all.

I'VE ALREADY REINSTALLED SNOW LEOPARD TWICE AND PRO TOOLS LE 100 TIMES. CAN SOMEONE AT AVID PAY ATTENTION AT THIS ERROR?

Easy to take care off,

go to finder and then go to folder,

insert /Library/Startupitems/

and then delete digi design.

samyb786,

Thanks very much for your response. This solved my problem with OS X 10.7.3 and Pro Tools 10.0

I can now get a good night's rest.

Regards,

Ty Ford

I have experienced the same problem of ""/Library/Startupitems/Digidesign have the proper security settings."
But Mbox works , only sometimes I have to restart the Mac 10.8.5 because audio doesn't work, then the windows appears about following app wich are not secureIGIDESIGN LOADER, PACE SUPPORT, M-AUDIO PCI AUDIO HELPER.

I reinstall the M-box drivers , but nothing change.

I would like to finish this suffering and all the time hoping that M-box audio works .
I read the advice :

"go to finder and then go to folder,

insert /Library/Startupitems/

and then delete digi design"

But I'm not sure to delete.
there's any other solution?

This is a 5 year old thread so maybe start with the latest drivers and go from there.

We also need a LOT more info about what you are using so goto the top of any page here and read up on the Help Us Help You and come back with the details we need to start looking at this.
