Upgrade from PT8 HD2 PCI to PT11 HDX

I'm contemplating making the jump from HD to HDX. Not doing as much in the stu these days, but figure I have one of two choices:

1) get to HD10 about $1k it seems and stick it out for as long as I can

or

2) find the most cost effective way to get to HDX. Looks like I can buy an HDX card and license for about $4k

Anyway, been a while since I've been on here and I'm out of touch. Whats the latest on PC specs? Are there any boards out there that would allow me to stay on my PCI setup for now (need 2 PCI slots next to eachother) and would support making the jump to HDX later (an additional PCIe slot). Point me in the right direction please. Thanks

P.S. I'm using Lynx Aurora 16 with Lt-HD cards and have no plans of moving off that.

Just curious where you can get an HDX card and license for 4k. Is that used? The cheapest way I know of would be to do the trade in of HD2 to HDX. That's normally $7000, although through some dealers you could probably get a couple of thousand off.

Used HDX Cards are fetching 3500 these days, as low as 2800 last week, probably desperate seller.
