Default Strange LED display

Every now and then my 16-24 LED display becomes dimmer than the rest. This isn’t all the time. Is my LED strip on the way out do you think?? I’ve included a pic

Did you run a LED test? Then you can visually spot where any problems are.
Whenever my C24 starts freaking out I reinstall the latest firmware. You need to restart the unit while holding down the 3 buttons above the fader it will then update.
Then you’ll need to go Peripherals and find ur unit.

Good luck!

The Control 24 and 002 typically have problems with Digidesign's cheap harnesses because the contacts go bad over the years.
This is solved (temporarily) by disconnecting the harness, cleaning the prongs with scratchy sponge or sand paper, replugging with contact spray.
Could be the same thing here...

I would not use sandpaper. A very mild abrasive like a pencil eraser is a better choice to remove the oxidation, a duster to remove any eraser particles left over, then clean with isopropyl alcohol, then perhaps a contact enhancer like De-oxit.
