Default GPO for "Recording" Red light. S5

On my SC264 I have GPIO's connected to the TT002B card. I have created 2 GPO events in eMix 6.03.

I have assigned Record OFF to GPO1 open on TT002
I have assigned Record ON to GPO1 closed on TT002

On the DB37 connector Pin20 is GPO1 and Pin36 is common

Connect a multi meter to pin20 and pin36. Press record On/Off on the 401 or Pro Tools I get continuity On/Off because the GPO is a contact closure. This is good.

Now I need to connect Pin20 and Pin36 to an external 12vdc relay that will power up the Recording red lights and lock the exterior doors.

Does anyone have a circuit diagram specifically showing connecting GPO's to external relays?

Obviously the GPO cannot power the 12vdc relay so a 12vdc source must be placed in line between Pin20 and the coil side of the relay but this shorts out the TT002B internal relay essentially breaking the 401 transport but resolves after a reboot of the SC264.

Ok I figured it out. Since you cannot supply dc voltage to the TT002b card you must use a relay they excepts dry contacts.

I purchased a "RIB01BDC" from Amazon. It has a power input of 120vac with dry contact inputs with 20am 120vac relay contacts. The relay contacts can can switch 12vdc as well. You connect the dry contact inputs with the GPIO card on the back of SC263/264. I now hav red lights and door locks when recording!
