Anyone have this problem? The front wrist rest of my Control 24 has develop a lot of sticky residue on the rubbery surface...its almost like the sticky residue that is left behind when you remove a label from something. Can't seem to get it removed and have tried a number of cleaners...

Is this the same kind of sticky residue like on the JBL LSR monitors? If so, there are lots of videos and suggestions about cleaning it off. I think scrubbing with Goo-Gone to get the sticky off followed by alcohol to get the Goo-Gone off was one method.

And, if all else fails, recover it with a nice piece of leatherette from a fabric store

You can also sand it down, and have it powder coated.

I rubbed for quite a while with 97% Isopropyl alcohol. After the sticky stuff comes off, there's another layer of a black glossy substance. If you keep rubbing there's a nice, smooth grey surface under that. I attached a photo
