Default Waves Tune and delay compensation

I've been using Tune for about a week and I like it more and more, it beats the hell out of Autotune specially with tracking.

I am having an issue with delay compensation, if I use a short one it's not enbough and the track falls behind, if I apply a long one the track ends up ahead.

any tips?

thanks

I think it is in the nature of Pitch correction that there is a little timing slop. I usuall do a little light editing of my printed Tune fixes. I cut up the audio into lines or phrases and match them with the original timing. Having said that, it's never more than a couple of ms. out.

yes, that's what I've been doing, just wondering if there was a better way to get it in time... I guess not...

thanks Steve

vocalign is good for that. print the tuned vox and then vocalign the tuned track to the original.

having said that, try Melodyne, it smokes Tune IMO.

I don't want to use vocalign, enough processing with Tune

how do you deal with Melodyne outside PT?

what do you find better, tracking, sound, tuning?

Melodyne is better in all those areas IMO. I use the Melodyne Bridge plugin and it works as advertised. You can Command Tab back and forth between the apps.

Different strokes for folks. I am quite expert with Melodyne (which I like very much), but I'll go for Tune every time for pure pitch correction. I do mix a lot of live vocals with trashy leakage, and Tune will run circles around Melodyne tracking that stuff.

yea, I might give tracking to Tune but Melodyne definitely wins on sound quality IMO.
