midi notes not recording from GUI keyboard ?
I have used midi for years on my studio system with a midi keyboard .....BUT I am trying to record midi on my Mac Book Air
When I have the GUI open lets say the Mini Grand and record enable the instrument track and on the transport and I hit ply/record and try to use the mini grand keyboard to trigger notes no midi notes are recorded on the track ??? am I missing some selection in Preferences or something ? Midi thru is enabled ??? I can manually enter/pencil in notes from the "notes" option on the track but not from any VI plugin keyboard ???? My machine is a Mid 2013 Macbook Air 1.7 Ghz Intel Core i7---8 GB ram 1600 Mhz DDR3 -- Mac OS HS 10.13.5 PT Ultimate 2018.10

That keyboard is not for recording midi. Its just to audition notes Either pencil notes in or get some kind of small and portable midi keyboard
