Partitioning your hard drive
How do you partition your hard drive then install a seperate OS in the new partition.

You should have an app called Drive Setup somewhere on your machine -- it's come pre-installed with Mac OS for a while.
You'll have to boot from some volume other than the one you want to partition, because re-partitioning a drive means initializing it (erasing it). So backup anything on the drive you want to keep, boot from a CD or some other drive, then open Drive Setup. Its UI is fairly straightforward. HTH |
