Re: Pro Tools LE go to the grave?
If PT LE is going to the grave, then dig an extra couple of wholes for the guys who are too busy using it making a living to post their complaints all the time.
Bought LE over a year ago, and after finally getting over the PC app blues and grasping the differences, see what the hoopla is all about. Getting guidance from people I know and trust (the onces making records) seem to suggest that an LE system on an 8 core Mac can (and has done so ~ often) done things that could choke any native system on the planet, any HD2 and quite a few HD3 setups... As of late, I'm tracking in TDM 6.4 (mac) or PC LE 8 - depending on the gig...and don't have time for stuff that does not work fast and reliably every single time....so if that's a grave digger system, get me a shovel

So now do I need to uninstall and throw away all my le rigs?
Oh, wait, no, they are rock stable and earning money for me daily... Than I think they stay here.

Re: Pro Tools LE go to the grave?
New Question for techies:
I have Windows Vista 64-bit and Pro Tools LE & Mbox. My techie friend wants to install a VIRTUAL MACHINE on my laptop with XP 32-bit so I can run Pro Tools. But.... He wants to know if it will recognize the USB port for the Mbox? Apparently virtual machines have trouble recognizing some virtual ports. This is a very pertinent question I think. Because more and more people have 64 bit computers, and Pro Tools isn;t compatible with 64-bit. So help from any techies and especially Pro Tools moderators would be a big help! |
