Default Running Out of CPU Power Error Message

Hi,

I have just installed Pro Tools 7.3 on a new Mac Book Pro.

I have only recorded one track so far and already I am getting an error.

When I open a recent session and hit spacebar to play the track, the error message "You are running out of CPU power. Remove some RTAS plug-ins or increase CPU power usage Limit in the Playback Engine dialog (-9128)" comes up.

Why? What does this mean?

My Playback Engine Preferences are:

H/W Buffer Size = 512 Samples
RTAS Processors = 2 Processors
CPU Usage Limit = 90%
DAE Playback Bufer is at Level 2.

My Mac is running a 2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor with 2GB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM

All I really have installed on the comp is Office and Pro Tools and the Ignition Pack so I can't figure out what is causing the problem as I don't have any more plug-ins that comes with this intial pack.

I still have 70Gb of space left on the Hardrive and I'm buying an external hardrive later this week.

Why am I getting this error message and what can I do to correct things? If there is any other information I have left out let me know and I'll add to the list.

Does anyone know what the go is?

Thanks,

Maars

I had the same problem with my new MAC Pro. Have you tried to change the port where you have connected the DIGI?

I only have the one firewire port on my laptop so changing that is not an option...

Thanks tho... Any other Ideas? Is this error likely to cause any problems?

Go to the top of the DUC and try the troubleshooting tips. If that doesn't work, post back.
