I am going to try to install 10.13.3 and see if the issue goes away with that. I didn't notice the issue until I was on 10.13.4 but I never used the DDTi on 10.13.3 so for all I know the issue still exists on that OS version also. I have my High Sierra SSD as a HFS+ volume so I seem to be having some issue trying to install an earlier version that wants to see APFS. It honestly may end up being too much of a hassle for me to troubleshoot and just deal with the BS workarounds. Who knows....maybe 10.13.6 will fix the issue!!!! Or 10.14 even!
