HD Core Card Parts Missing

Hello Guys,

My Colleague didn´t do well by swapping Cards and two Components are missing now: R35 and C179

Is there Someone that could share the Values of these.

Ouch .. Those cards are really fragile and needs to be handled with kidgloves.

Anyway, this guy who is a member here fixes cards in 24 hrs and has actually quite a good reputation so here is his member profile and contact:

Ask if you can do it yourself and buy the parts from him or maybe its easier to just send the card to him and get it back within a day or two at the most.

i have no problem soldering, i've done smd work too, but most of all i'm from europe and shipping would cost a ton.

Unfortunately I don't think Avid will give you the specs so you will have to send it in for repair or ...

i already know the values. sourcing for the parts now, but it's an easy job from now.

I'll give a good discount if you send the card in

about 60% of the time what you see is not the only parts that were affected
when the damage occurred to them

I typically use a micropscope and find other parts that my look attached but
have sall fractures, and with SMD the way the parts are constructed
having the film on the very top layer of the part this causes
even the smallest type defect to render the part useless
