Craig, how long ago was that? I assume the card was out of warranty?

How much did they charge you?

I had a similar issue with a 192 I/O AD card years ago, and I think I paid a flat rate of 200.00 back then, but that was when the card were going for 800 used so it was a no brainer.

yes, out of warranty. probably happened 2010 maybe 2011
I don't remember how much it was (seems like it was sub $200 but wasn't out of my pocket) just that was falt rate so you know the cost up front
Probably need an ASC now to get a quote

also the photo of the back edge with the bar-code sticker, is it bent up or is that heat damage? looks like heat damage to me

I was able to get it to run Digitest on just the Core card and it was installed in the forth PCIe slot, with the video card in slot 1. All seems to be centered around DSP B, of course I have no idea what that means.

The only irregular viewable discrepancies with the Core Card vs the other two accel cards is the discoloration around the grounds.

See Pics:

Here is a pic from one of the Accel cards as a reference.

It's just bent up, that is the original clue discoloring a little, no sign of any issues with that.

Hi,

That's DSP chip number? I've had this on 2 cards over the years and no practical way to repair the card.

I found the card will still work fine as long as I disabled that DSP chip before loading and session!

I think it's option click (or similar) on the chip in the usage window to make it disabled etc.

If the mixer it certain plugins got assigned to that chip it would make noises and clicks etc.

Chris

I received my replacement core card from RSPE on eBay with 6 month warranty for 424.00. Back up again!

Will send my non working one to see if it can be fixed next week.

Thanks to all for trying to help me!
