What are your click settings set to?

Does it play normally in 4/4?

Which version of Pro Tools and OS version are you on?

I'm on PT HD1 7.4 and Mac OSX 10.4.9

The click is perfect in 4/4 time, but I'm not sure how to switch it from quater notes to eigths. I think that's the problem here, it's playing 1/4 on a 6/8meter...and I would prefer it to play eighth notes.

I went to click/countoff... window, and there's no option for changing the note base for the click. Can't find anything in the click plugin either...

it's probably something really simple that I'm missing

Hey Rich,

In your Edit window, press the + sign next to "Meter" in the upper left corner. It should display a "meter change" pop-up window. The last (4th) box down is CLICK:
If you click*hold on the note figure, it'll allow you to change the resolution of the click. (If the meter reads 6/8, and you select 8th note resolution, it should play an 8th note click in 6/8 time.)
Is this what you're wanting to do??

Hope so...
