I agree 64GB is plenty. But i decided to change from 128GB to 64 because it fits better with the specs of the Mac. Although the system is stable now, it seems like a good idea and i will still have plenty of ram.

Not everything my friend. Trashcans' memory work at its fastest with 64GB max. Yes you can install up to 128GB but those memory configurations make memory work slightly slower. Not that it should mean much if you need more than 64GB
