xlr8 InterView video capture

Hi, have done a search for info on Interview, found a couple of posts, but none discussed the quality of the result.
Using OS 9.2, 002, and G4 450, -
Interview seems like an economic way to make a QT for import to PTools,from VHS; but would there be a huge difference in picture quality between InterView and the Canopus ADVC 13/94 pci card-does iMovie work ok with Canopus, and can you enlarge or reduce a QTime window size with either of the above?
All I really need is to sync up voice-overs to picture, but nothing too complex as I rarely need lip-sync, just general dialogue timing.
