Same question here. As far as I am concerned, Pro Tools 11 is broken until they fix this issue. Either make the window available in Pro Tools 11 or make a stand alone available.

Heck, it's bad enough that we never got a stand alone editor, but then they DON'T INCLUDE the control window in PT11???? I just dont get that one! The writing is on the wall I guess.....

Looks like you're going to have to eat those words...the standalone editor has been announced...to be released post NAMM!

Was that release any more specific than post NAMM? or was this one of those vague promises that will happen "sometime" after NAMM?

I looked around for confirmation of this and found:

Which states that free downloads may start commencing this week. I read on a few forums they were hoping by Friday 17 Jan. I guess We'll have to wait and see. If so this is great news. I can finally go back to Pro Tools 11.

Hey there, when the standalone editor is out there, but do I get it rights that there is still no 11R edit window in PT11? ... i can't believe avid is making me sad after every pro tools update I buy...

EDIT: sorry.. yesterday I tried to start the editor alongside PT11 and it didn't work. now it seems it works jsut fine. so nevermind.
