Default distorted audio

I use LE 5.01 with a mac g4. I have a session with about 12 trax, when they were recorded the audio sound was good. A little bit latter I noticed that the sound wasn't quit right and when I soloed the piano track it sounded like a streched tape!
Can anybody tell me what caused that and how can I fix the problem.
Thanks, Rick

Default Re: distorted audio

I have never heard of this behavior. If the piano track is playing back at the wrong pitch, it is possible that you changed the session sample rate mid-session after you recorded the piano.

Otherwise:
What kind of drive are you recording to: ATA or SCSI?

Are you using any hardware inserts?

Have you bypassed all RTAS plug-ins?

Did you process the piano track with any AudioSuite plug-ins?

What format utility have you used to initialize/partition the drive?

Are any other tracks suffereing from the same behavior?

Brent

Thanks for responding Brent, in answer to your questions; I am recording to the mac via audiomidmedia 3; Plug-ins have not been used yet; and yes I found one other Track that is suffereing from the same behavior.
I think the problem may be with the Kurzweil 2500 that is being used as the audio source. You asked about a format utility, I use Norton Utilities disk dr. and speed disk, I am not sure if that is what you are looking for or not.

I am new at this, my wife and I have a small in home studio. We use it primarily with the Kurzweil. The studio consists of, Mac G4 20 gig 450 processer 128 ram OS 9.0.4, 2 mackie 824 monitors, glypg cd burner, midiman midisport 2X2 interface.
