Re: How good is Soundblender in comparison to the Eventide boxes ?
there was a lot of discussion of this many months ago. do a search and you will find...in a nutshell, people love it and say it is as good. my experience is to the contrary. it does some things very well, but i haven't been able to make it do some of the classic harmonizer resonances and stuff. I'm maybe not enough of a tweaker yet though. sound blender is pretty deep. i think the power is in there, i just find it easier to get what i want out of the hardware box. do the search though. lots of discussion about this.

whether or not it's as good as the hardware, it is the best set of delay effects available for Pro Tools, by far....

I love those plugs too, sounds amazing. It's a bit difficult to play with it but the factory presets are a good start point. I only hate to deal with their big latency.
worthwhile.

Re: How good is Soundblender in comparison to the Eventide boxes ?
I really like Soundblender, and use it a lot for chorus on my guitar tracks. I can't compare to Eventide boxes as I've never used them. Oddly enough, I have an old Roland GP-16 effects processor and, in spite of having old old digital technology, that thing has the sweetest widest chorus I've ever heard out of anything...plugin or hardware.
At any rate, here's a Pitchblender chorus setting I use a lot, if anyones interested: http://www.digitalaudiorock.com/cgi-...nder&suser=tld Tom ------------------ http://www.digitalaudiorock.com |

Thanks lukemaniak! It's been a bit of a slow start in terms of users uploading files, but it's getting there. I put far too much work into to give up on it
