Perhaps you did not like the answers but they DID answer !

they answered clearly? i must have missed that clarity. all i got from their answers was, we're still great...keep buying our stuff. no actual info what so ever! it was pointless.

Was a good article however I couldn't get to the link with Russ's responses.

They've drawn the line. Interesting that at the time I voted roughly 3/4 of respondents will not try the demo.

25, Not wishing to start a war here, but it all depends on what you define as 'answers'.

The questions were pretty specific, yet the answers were not.. there was no real information in them and instead if directly answering what was asked, the answer went back to the same 'market-speak' we've heard from the beginning.. (not to mention being disingenuous).

Avid is taking a stance of non-action either in hopes that it will all go away or that they really do not know what to do about this roll-out.

That's my opinion, (and apparently quite a few others).

Also, your jumping on Zed was out of line... are you that sensitive? seriously.. They're big-boys at Avid and can take care of themselves I'm sure..

I have 10HD and have it installed... I like it but it took me a day to get it in and then sort through all of my plugs and authorisations and tweaking just to get them to work.. the ones that would. Not many wouldn't in all fairness, but the ones that didn't hung PT10 and it took time to find them and resolve the issues..

That's a lot of work for a short demo.

Still, better than a poke in the stick with a sharp eye I always say..

I've had 10 for over a week now as a result of having qualified for a free upgrade. I would never have paid the requested price that Avid is asking for at present. That being said, I will say that 10 is a pretty damn good piece of software. It is stable as heck and the new features work as advertised. Is there anything in there that is a "game changer"? IMHO; not in the least. There is absolutely nothing that makes it possible for me to do anything that I couldn't have done, in 8 or 9, without one or two extra mouse clicks. Convenient, yes. Game changing, no. Real "game changing" features are eagerly awaited.

How were the answers disingenuous? Perhaps I can clarify here?

Can you clarify that future versions of pro tools (11, 12 etc..) will have support for RTAS such as the 64 bit Avid Media Composer 6?
