Default XP 64 no hardware compatibility?

Hello all,

I recently built a computer with a quad-core 64 bit processor and 4 gigs of RAM. If I understand correctly, windows xp32 only supports up to 3 gigs of RAM. So, I installed windows xp64 so I could utilize all 4 gigs of RAM and 64 bit processing. I recently learned that pro tools software is not compatible with xp64 for reasons i don't know, but is their hardware compatible(digi 002 rack)? I tried installing my rack and it couldn't recognize the drivers.

Any suggestions how to get this going?

Default Re: XP 64 no hardware compatibility?

Pro Tools and all related Digidesign hardware is currently not compatible with ANY 64bit operating system.

When it does (someday) become 64bit compatible, it will be with Vista, not XP.
