Default Dragging plugins to different spot in mix window replaces other plugin?

Hey guys! So I've used Pro Tools in school before and never had this issue. When I drag a plugin in the mix window (lets say it's in the wrong spot and I want to move it), Pro Tools won't let me drag it between plugins, only to an empty spot, or replace a plugin in a spot. Is there a setting to change for this? Thanks

That's the only way Pro Tools has ever worked. It can't shuffle plugins. You have to move them to where you want.

But wait, there's more! Ctrl-Z won't bring back the plugin that was replaced :)

You guys are breaking my heart here.

But, I've been using Pro Tools a ton today and I absolutely love it.

You should never rely on undo, not ever. Valuable lesson learnt

In this case you might have the lost plugin settings available in a session file backup.

Yeah I figured out pretty quick that undo doesn't work for a whole lot lmao
