Default EQ7 and Channelstrip Bug in PT 12.8.1?

Hi Guys,

I´ve noticed a bug with the Avid EQ7 and Channel Strip plugins. I always group left and right guitar tracks when recorded with same settings. Especially I make them react the same way, when I tweak the EQ for the left guitar so the right side reacts equal.
My go to EQ is the Avid EQ7, especially when I hold the Ctrl key I can change the bandwidth of the bell with my mouse. Normally both guitar tracks will go with it but recently in PT 12.8.1 only one side reacts to the mouse move.
I compared different EQs with this mouse modifier function: Sonnox EQ and Fabfilter Pro Q2 are working as expected but EQ7 and Channel Strip don´t. Must be a bug especially since they did work before PT 12.8.1

Could anyone reproduce this behavior please? I´ve tried it in different sessions and always the same.

Here a shot from the working Fabfilter EQ.

Sonnox EQ is working as well.

And of course, I adjusted the global settings

I use this too, will try and report back later. What I've noticed for sure is that Win-shift for band isolation does not work with groups, it should.

It looks to me, that Ctrl is interpreted as "Temporarily isolate channel strip from Groups - Control-click (or Right-click) applicable Group parameter" and not to do a Q-change.

Ctrl-drag is needed, when you drag the "control point" to change the Q.
But placing the cursor not at the control point directly, but somewhere (in your picture of the EQ37) in the "yellow area" and than click/hold/drag-up/down changes the Q, too (without any modifier). And it works for grouped tracks.
Thats a fact at least in PT 11.3.1. Maybe that works in PT 12, too.

Same here too on iMac. Ctrl+Shift works only on one side when grouped.

Hi Joachim,

You are right! Hold/drag-up/down in the colored region works great!
Nevertheless it used to work with ctrl+drag too before PT 12.8.1

Can confirm what RedMonkey is seeing in regards to joachims comment.Running 12.5.2 here. Looks as though the Ctrl modifier is isolating from the group and the second instance does not read the change.

Alternatively, if anyone knows how to "cycle" the target button to open plugin windows, so that the copy/paste setting presets are available, that would be a fast 'work around' for this workflow??

So, no modifier needed anymore. That's an improvement !

No it´s not an improvement. Now I need to release the mouse button and grab it again to drag. Before it was one continuous movement ...
