2 computers with spectrasonics vst
Hey,
I was wondering if it is possible to have two computers, one running dedicated pro tools and the 2nd computer running stylus rmx(which is a vst plug)? the 2nd computer has a midiman audiophile sound card and i have the vst wrapper. I don't own stylus rmx yet but I hear it is a real cpu/memory hog. Before I buy Stylus rmx, is this possible and how would i do it? Thanks for any help |

Re: 2 computers with spectrasonics vst
I did it with two computers the second one was running abbleton live and had stylus as a plugin the the first one had protools running and the midi beat clock was going to the second one throught a edirol um 880. The computer that was running ableton with stylus is a 1.3 p4 and I could see a performance drop with stylus running from what I understand stylus is a memmory hog they say to have at least 768 megs of ram for stylus to run. I will tell you though the options and features stylus had were remarkable and really complemented the project I was working on.
Good luck Niros |
