I wish they redesign so that the touchscreen panel would fold down to "transport position". That would allow much more compact case.

An issue I have a lot is we play in a lot of halls where sound is an afterthought. I like to sit in the crowd but really need to be considerate of the line of sight for the crowd behind me.

All that said, the S3L is probably more geared towards my situation

Must likely so. In similar situations I have placed the screen of my Profile system on a chair next to the desk and same goes with S3L, you can put your screen anywhere you like.


But this also brings up a life-long question - "what about a dedicated ipad app?"

Another thing I'm wondering - can I use Stage 16 boxes with the new engine?

And another one - can I buy one of the new surface only and use my E3 engine + Stage 16 boxes?

I sure Hope they make the 3 and 6 system compatible, so that you can run the 6 Surface on the 3 Engine and Vice versa.

To get the New gui on the 3 system i got the answer "not yet", I have the feeling that sometime near the end of this year the line will be completed, I also think that we e3 users will get more DSP power to make our systems 96khz or 192 kHz. Than it will be compatible to the 6 system.

I am happy right now :)
