Default Help. Plugin windows got BIG

I installed the new OS10.5.7 update (what was I thinking) and today my plugin windows have all gotten wider. I am in PT8 with the CS2 update. The windows are substantially wider. The basic plugin window is the same width but now has gray blocks on either side of it that take up a lot more screen space.

I also have a blue glowing line around the upper part of the plug in and around the names of tracks. I have no idea if this is the result of the OS update or something I did putzing around. I want to get back to where I was.

I was in OS9 until February and I was thinking I should dump the preferences file but don't know where it is in OS10.

Confused I am. Thanks in advance for any help.

Did you use the COMBO updater to update to 10.5.7? You should not use Software Update...

I'm not saying it's the problem, just best practices...

I used the ProTools Pref and Database Helper application to remove the prefs etc. and I appear to be back to functional.

Thanks for the help. There are times I find this confusing.

Glad you got it back to normal...

PT is a deep program, and it exists in the middle of a complex occupation (making music).. There is bound to be a learning curve, just don't get too frustrated by it..
