Opening DP track in PT
Someone has a session in Performer and wants me to work on it in Pro Tools.
How do I go about this? Thanks, Pete |

Re: Opening DP track in PT
Latest version of Digital Perfomer can output an OMF, that DigiTranslator can bring into ProTools

Pro Tools, on the other hand requires that you have Digitranslator to open the OMF. If you have an older version of Pro Tools, there was an OMF tool included that allowed you to open an OMF but not save one. I believe this was 16 bit only, so it may not do you any good. You will most likely need Digitranslator to open the DP OMF output. If you don't have digitranslator, it may be easiest to consolidate the tracks in DP and import them into a new Pro Tools session at the pre-determined start point. Bob
