Default 12.8.1 Released

Who's brave enough to update? I think I'll wait a bit...

I think I'm gonna go for this in the next day or so. Was holding off going from 12.7.1 to 12.8 because of the MIDI delay compensation issues, but apparently they have that sorted now.

Would be very keen to know if anyone faces any new issues with this version though!

Looks like 12.8.1 doesn't support Sierra 10.12.6... Bugger.

As in it won't run, or in terms of official compatibility?

Maybe it will but nothing about 10.12.6 support for 12.8.1 in official release info from AVID.

Wish I'd been smart enough to check the compatibility table before uninstalling 12.7.1, but oh well; I'd already been running that on 10.12.6 anyway.

Also thanks for the tip, John, and I didn't think to do that either, plus decided a full sweep might be warranted. Do have an archived installer for 12.7.1 though. It's not like I wasn't stalked by 9173 errors before.

Let's see how this goes...

Media Composer just added support for that OS version. Fingers crossed they just missed it off the list, like they accidentally included it for a few days back when it was in beta.
