Default Comm 8 outside of PTLE

Can this unit control other software such as Vegas?

I just returned the unit after a 2nd trial, it's a good machine but "only" in Pro Tools. It will probabely work after hours of reading manuals and editing but lcd wont display track names and fader's motors will never work in any other software than Pro Tools. As a Pro Tools/Nuendo user this unit didn't fit my needs at all, I bough a Radical Sac-2K instead, witch works like a charm with Pro Tools AND Cubase/Nuendo...
