Default Kontakt 5

Need assistance getting it to work with Pro tools. I have copied the extensions and everything into the Avid folder like all the youtube and google searches suggested, but Pro tools 8 still won't pick it up

Any help would be appreciated. I'm running Windows 7 64 bit

Is Kontakt 5 qualified for PT8?

I.e. When you installed Kontakt 5 did you install the RTAS version?

It did have the option for RTAS. Watched videos on how to route Kontakt 5 in Pro tools but not sure where to copy the extension to make it work. Tried to place it in the X64 Program Files and Common Files but still not detected

Can get Kontakt 5 in Finale, Sibelius and Finale but not Pro Tools which is my main DAW

What exact revision of Kontakt 5 are you trying to use? NI dropped RTAS support somewheres back in the K5.5.x revisions IIRC.

Sounds like he is trying to make a hack work...no support but he is trying to manually move and install things....

Easiest bet is to just ask NI for the version that last ran RTAS and install it automatically

Yeah - going back and re-reading his posts that seems likely. Elsewise the NI installer would have put things where it wanted and he's be able to see it in PT.

Oh so the problem is that Pro Tools 8 just doesn't support it? That sucks. Would have made life so much easier music wise
