Default Automation writing on it's own

Having this strange issue I've never seen before.

I'm snapshot automating reverb parameters on an Aux return in latch mode. When I playback, when it reaches a certain point it drops in to writing automation, seems to be only affecting one parameter in the plug in, the Decay fader.

I think It was happening with the aux send on my Dx buss as well but I can't seem to repeat that.

My setup
PTHDN 10.1.3
OSX10.6.8
Command 8

The plugin giving me the trouble is TL Space RTAS.

The Command 8 is not controlling the plugin so what else you be tripping the automation into latch?

Maybe auto join (automation window) is enabled? Does it write (even for a short moment) in touch mode?

It's a bug, TL Space AAX still does this! Perhaps the AAX version wasn't the total rewrite it was advertised as being. It usually drops into write when it hits an automation breakpoint. Turning "latch prime on stop" off can fix it, if in your workflow that's not an option all you can do is switch to read when you don't want to write automation.

Oh my mistake this is the AAX version.

Glad to know it's a known bug and that my system isn't freaking out.

Thanks!

When I say known, I mean within the community, not sure if Avid have acknowledged it or not.
