Default Help... PT7 Kernel Panic...

My trusty Dual G4 (450 upgraded to a dual 1.3Ghz Sonnet Duet), 1.5Gb RAM, OSX 10.4.3, HD2 PT 7 connected with a Digidesign 7-slot expansion chassis, no other cards in the chassis, started spitting out Kernel panics the last two days. I have not installed anything new... The only difference is that I played for a while with the Coreaudio driver of PT7, making sure it was working with iTunes and Bias Peak's latest incarnation.

Kernel panics at first seemed to happen at random, while working at the computer, not necessarily on ProTools. Then, they are happening upon restarting the machine... sometimes before the blue screen that leads to the desktop, (in other words when the grey screen and black apple are visible), sometimes right after it restarts, without even getting to the grey screen, sometimes after it actually reaches the desktop.

Upon looking at the panic log, I found references to Digi... Does anyone know what these mean? Is there something I can do to fix this? Here's the output of one of the Kernel panics, of many that appear in the console's log, all the same... just different times/dates. Any help will be appreciated... thanks...

Default Re: Help... PT7 Kernel Panic...

i had one yesterday just 2 days after installing my powerlogix 1.8 dual

but there are some nice things going on in the speed of the puter

i'm finding that in some instance my pro tools chops are too fast for a faster computer to realize..i'm not braggin ..i'm just saying that some moves don't have the abilitly to be transmitted fast like i can do them....these are the moves i'm documenting from the software crashes i'm experiencing.

this thing has me running scared but half of the issues i think are a result of the processor upgrade have been co incidental hard drive or mis key stroke issues

i'm keeping my 933 processor at this point hoping not to have to re install it

it's not worth the $80 that other world is offering with these scary little anomalies going on during the first week

perhaps i'll feel differently about this before my 30 trial return period is up

try running DISK WARRIOR on the system drive.

whenever i start getting kernal panics, this fixes it for me.
