Default Video & General Stability Problems

Was just wondering if anyone with a OS X based Pro Tools LE 8 system is experiencing these problem and what are they thoughts about it.

1. There is a random horizontal line which looks like video noise that frequently appears across the session or at times flashes over the QuickTime picture. This line only appears within the Pro Tools software.

2. For no apparent reason, Pro Tools suddenly freezes. All control over the computer is lost, even the force quit function and the only option then is to hard reboot the computer from the main tower. This crash sometimes, but not always, causes the entire monitor to turn itself off.

I will be grateful for any suggestions or thoughts.

Many thanks!
