Re: Tracks out of sync AFTER recording
Did any of you happen to use the Audified u73b compressor in the session where the audio shifted?
It happens to me quite a lot if I have one of those instantiated and start recording. The audio gets shifted ahead by around 40-50 ms If I take the u73b out or make inactive, the problem goes away.

Re: Tracks out of sync AFTER recording
I am dealing with and have been dealing with this issue for some time now. I will record something (using a Tascam us-1200 [usb] into pro tools 12) and as I'm sitting there i can visibly see the audio being written early. I spoke with a college on the topic and he found his daw (logic) has some time displacement on which he turned off and it fixed it for him. Is there anything in pro tools that would cause this, i am getting quite annoyed at having to slide my clips right a 64th note.

Re: Tracks out of sync AFTER recording
I haven't seen this for a while but on some versions of PT if your workflow includes duplicating tracks , say copying your vocal track with it's plugin setup to create a new track to record on, this could cause some problems with out of time recordings.

Re: Tracks out of sync AFTER recording
I'd be happy to make a recording of exactly what I'm experiencing, that would probably help.

Re: Tracks out of sync AFTER recording
If the clip is in the right place, but the wave inside it isn't, see if you can move the wave within the clip. Look in the Reference Manual for how to do that.

Re: Tracks out of sync AFTER recording
I've had sort of this issue when rerecording.
One of my stems track had an offset. I didn't try to spot it as it was not usable and I'm recording in Destructive mode so the sound was shifted from my inpoint. I thought delay compensation was not correct... It happened after I had a "could not get audio fast enough error". First few times I restarted PT but then I found that if I switch the buffer size back and forth in the playback engine it's ok again. I'm on 2018.4 HDX mac pro mid 2012, high sierra and very heavy session. |
