Default make a file for cd

Hi, excuse for my english but i'm a from south america.I work with protools for a week, but i have a huge problem, i want to make a common audio file (wav or aiff)but i don't get it. I made a bounce to disk with wav 16 bits, mono or stereo, but the file that protools made is impossible to write on cd, i only listen it in quicktime. I hope someone give me an answer.
Thank you very much.

make sure you choose "stereo interleaved" and not muliple mono-files.

Just a silly thought: Check yourSession Setup window. Make sure you're not recording at 48 kHz - otherwise you will need to Convert After Bounce to 44 kHz before this file can be written to a CD; right?

P.D. Y no te preocupes, tu inglés sirve perfectamente. ¡Buena suerte con Pro Tools!

What kind of cd burning program are you using? Most will burn .wav files to a cd, but ordinary cd players can't play .wav files. Try selecting mp3, then do a bounce to disc. That's a format that cd players will play.
(By the way, I think there is a forum in Spanish also.)

This is plain missinformation.

Indeed^^^. The proper file type for burning an audio CD is 16 bit/44.1K/Interleaved. Waves Elements and Sony CD Architect are 2 good CD-authoring programs. Making a CD from an mp3 file CAN work, but the sonic quality is lost forever.
